Wake up, shower, get dressed, put on makeup, make coffee, get in the car, go to work, head home, eat dinner, go to bed.
Daily race seems like a typical routine for most people in the world today. Days blend and they do the same thing day by day. The worst part is that nobody sees this happening. Life moves at such a fast pace that days, weeks or even months have passed by before even noticing it. People focus so much on what they must do next, that they miss being present in their lives. Between job tasks and running errands, they do not have a moment to pause, take a breath and appreciate the moment. They move through life with a sense of unnecessary mission. Nothing is for free. They know everything about the globalization but wonder when are asked who they are.
One Wolf AW 20/2021 unisex collection “City Monk” reveals a story about contemporary routine and the speed of post-modern life. Minimalistic uniform style collection is an attempt to create a survival kit outfit for an urban city dweller. The collection is inspired by underlying principles and timelessness of traditional uniform and work-clothing. Nuances from Tibetan monks’ clothing is incorporated in the collection to symbolize simplicity and detachment of materialism. Simple yet thoughtfully constructed silhouettes make all the pieces of the collection easily to combine into an every-occasion wardrobe. As a reflection of urban landscape, most of the clothing are made in the dark colour palette with an accent of bright orange, red and white as a wake-up call.
